Neeraj Bishnoi, creator of the “Bulli Bai” application, sent into police custody for 7 days

A local court sent Neeraj Bishnoi, an engineering student and creator of the “Bulli Bai” app, who was arrested by the Delhi police in Assam for creating a platform to defame women from a particular community , in police custody for seven days.

Bishnoi, who is said to be the main conspirator and creator of the “Bulli Bai” on GitHub and the main holder of the application’s Twitter account, was arrested by the IFSO (Intelligence and Strategic Operations Fusion Unit) of the special cell of the Delhi Police.

Delhi police had demanded seven days in police custody for Bishnoi, who was brought to the deputy magistrate’s house on Thursday.

As a result, the magistrate allowed the police to keep him in custody for a week. The accused was being held in Assam by an IFSO team led by DCP KPS ​​Malhotra.

He lives in the Jorhat village of Assam and was studying in his second year of B.Tech, computer science, at the Vellore Institute of Technology in Bhopal.

Police say Bishnoi in October created a list of women he wanted to defame online on his digital devices, laptop and cellphones. He tracked activists all over social media and uploaded their photos.

On January 1, this app, which was performing on the Github space, posted photos of a number of women of a particular religion. These included journalists, social workers, students and famous personalities. It happened six months after the Sulli Deals controversy.

Vishal Kumar Jha, the engineering student, was one of the supporters of “Bulli Bai”, who led the police to him.

The Github hosting platform provided space for ‘Sulli Deals’, and the’ Bulli Bai was created on it as well. Later, after the controversy erupted, Github removed user “Bulli Bai” from their hosting platform. But by then, it had sparked a nationwide controversy.

The app was also promoted by a Twitter account with the name @bullibai, with the display photo of a Khalistani supporter.

The Twitter account was created on December 31. He further revealed that he also created another Twitter account @ Sage0x1 to tweet about the app. He was constantly monitoring news on social media. He had created another Twitter account with the name of @ giyu44, “Malhotra said.

Bishnoi had also made fun of the Mumbai police, who had opened investigations and made some arrests, so as not to “arrest innocent people”, via these Twitter accounts.
