WhatsApp is rolling out a global brand campaign to raise awareness of its interlocking privacy features.
WhatsApp rolled out its global brand campaign to raise awareness of its interlocking layers of privacy. The new features will provide more privacy and control over conversations. Avinash Pant, Marketing Director of Meta India, said WhatsApp has consistently added layers of protection through product features that give users more control over their messages. He said, “It’s our way of spreading awareness and assurance to our users about how new and existing built-in layers of protection help you message freely without compromising your privacy. We want users to know that they always have a safe and private space on WhatsApp, wherever they are. He added that it is a great privilege that around two billion people around the world trust WhatsApp to deliver their personal messages every day.

Leave groups silently: WhatsApp introduced this feature recently. This will allow users to leave a group privately without notifying other group participants.
To hide on line active status: Now users can keep their online presence private, choosing who can and cannot see when they’re online.
No screenshot for View Once messages: The View Once is a fairly secure way to share media files. However, WhatsApp has added an extra layer of security by disabling screen capture for View Once messages. The feature is currently being tested and will be rolling out to users soon.
Default E2EE: WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption by default (regardless of device) for personal messages.
Encrypted Backups: WhatsApp allows users to back up their chat history with end-to-end encryption so that it can only be accessed by using a password or encryption key.
Messages that disappear: WhatsApp Disappearing Messages allows you to set durations for disappearing messages: 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days so that photos and videos disappear once they are opened.
Block and report: Users can block and report someone if they send offensive content or spam.
Two-step verification: For added protection, the two-step verification feature allows users to set a unique six-digit PIN when registering your phone number with WhatsApp.
